PR BUSINESS UNIT DIRECTOR

We’re looking for a PR Business Unit Director to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. In this senior leadership role, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing strategic communications plans that achieve outstanding results for our diverse client portfolio, spanning industries like finance, FMCG, and technology.

Duties

The successful candidate will be a strong strategic thinker, capable of formulating and executing bespoke strategic communications campaigns in consultation with clients.
High-level writing skills and an understanding of news value are a must.
Must have experience in writing opinion articles and at least 10 years’ experience at a senior level in media or corporate communications, or in an agency at a senior level.
Building and maintaining positive client relations will be a core requirement.
S/he will be skilled in proactively anticipating client needs and proposing solutions.
Strong leadership and management skills, and the ability to accurately brief colleagues, are required.

Requirements

Experience in crisis communications
Experience in advisory at C-Suite level if possible
Meticulous planning and attention to detail
Strong media relations at national level
Strong Writing Skills
International communications experience a plus
Experience in media relations management and event hosting
Project planning and management ability
Good administrative skills
Media monitoring management ability
Skilled in PowerPoint, MS Word, and Excel
